Panditarama Forest Meditation Centre

Forest centre in Myanmar (Burma), established 1993 by Sayadaw U Pandita (1921 – 2016).

The annual Special Retreat for international yogis at the Panditarama Forest Center will not be held this year.

Saddhamma Foundation is happy to announce the 2023 International Vipassana Retreat held at the Khemanandi Meditation Center in Malaysia from December 6, 2023 – January 5, 2024.

This retreat in beautiful Malaysia provides a place for international meditators to practice according to the instructions given by the most Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw, under the guidance of meditation teachers, England Sayadaw U Nanujjota, Nepal Sayadaw U Nyanavudha and Nepal Sayalay Daw Vimalañani, who were trained under Sayadaw U Panditabivamsa.

Registration is now open and applications will be accepted until October 31, 2023. All applicants must speak English sufficiently enough to listen to Dhamma talks and interview without aid of a translator or translation device. Only lay meditators will be accepted, monks and nuns are not eligible for this retreat.

Panditarama Lumbini

Centre in the Buddha’s birthplace (Lumbini, Nepal) under the guidance of Sayadaw U Vivekananda (Germany, 1956) and Burmese nun Sayalay Bhadda Manika (1955). They were both students of Sayadaw U Pandita (1921 – 2016, Burma), Mahasi Sayadaw’s successor. Every year in April, May and June U Vivekananda uses to go to Europe, Australia or USA for teaching, and Daw Bhadda Manika uses to go to Malaysia or Indonesia. The rest of the year one can apply for a retreat in this centre with a minimum of seven days. Here I went in 2011, 2015 en 2016. See also Facebook page for up-to-date communication and events.

The government of Nepal has decided to continue enforcing the restriction measures in educational institutions (schools, colleges, tuition centers and training centers) until further notice to curb possible spread of the COVID-19.
From December 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 resident teachers at Panditarama Lumbini will be conducting a Panditarama Lumbini Online Retreat program using Skype as a platform. Participants are offered four to five guided-interviews with two live Dhamma talks and five recorded Dhamma talks per week.
September 4 – 15, 2023 Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Sayalay Daw Bhaddamanika will – ONLINE from Lumbini – conduct a 10-day retreat at Guest House St. Willibrord Abbey, Doetinchem, Netherlands.
